When your friends recommend you as a wedding photographer to other good friends, you can be pretty sure that there is a very good connection between the couple and their wedding photographer. Indeed, I loved everything about this wedding in a greenhouse in Nuremberg – although the weather was very cliché April and kept changing between rain, sunshine, wind and back to rain again basically every two minutes.
The ceremony took place in one of the most famous churches in Nuremberg, the Frauenkirche Nürnberg – which is next to the area of the world famous christmas market! Afterwards, the bridal couple and I went to Nuremberg castle for the portrait shooting. Unfortunately, due to the horrible weather slot of rain and wind and freezing temperatures, we were forced to cut the shooting a bit shorter than planned and headed to the reception location, a greenhouse style location, in the outskirts of Nuremberg (Gwaechshaus Nürnberg). The bride had made wedding favours for the guests: chocolate for the gentlemen and homemade strawberry limes for the ladies (invitation suite by Kreative Hochzeitskarten)
I love relaxed weddings where the main focus is to spend time with each other, the guests and to simply celebrate the bridal couple. So they had the reception, cut the marvellous naked cake made by Monika of Die Kleine Tortenstube and after a very fun game, organized by the best man and the maid of honor, dinner was provided by a local catering company (Aufgetischt!)
The party started with fireworks (literally) and a wonderful first dance and I am so thrilled to show you this small selection of photos today!
